How to use the AI document assistant
Ask questions about one document and get answers drawn only from that document.
- 1Sign in and open Ask a document from the side menu.
- 2Unlock with your PIN if the document is private.
- 3Pick a text document or PDF (up to 10 MB) from the list or search.
- 4Type your question and press Enter. Ask follow-up questions in the same conversation.
The assistant is instructed to answer only from the document you chose. If the document doesn't contain the answer, it says so instead of guessing.
The document is sent to the assistant only to answer your question and is not stored or used for training. Your conversation is not saved: leaving the page clears it.
Frequently asked questions
Which files work?
Text files (TXT, Markdown, CSV, JSON, code and similar) and PDFs up to 10 MB. Word documents and images are not supported yet.
Can I ask about files with their own password?
Not yet. Remove the file password first, or ask about a copy.
Is the answer always correct?
It is based only on your document, but AI can still make mistakes. Check important answers against the document.
